What is Big Brands’s Marketing Strategy in Malaysia for 2009?

Last month there is an article in the star “Marketing strategiesin a challenging year” interviewing all the big brands in Malaysia asking them about their marketing strategy for 2009. Most of them agrees that advertising in the Internet is the future trend and they will be definately explore more on building relationship with their customers using the Internet. None of the companies are planing to cut their marketing expenses, that is a good thing indeed but they are definately moving their money to explore different medium. CIMB agrees that it is important to adopt the right medium to connect to their customers.

In 2008, we only see large corporation, airlines and telecomunication companies adopting it. Hope Malaysia companies will adopt more strategy such as social networking in their marketing strategy. Will online marketing / advertsing market in Malaysia grow stronger in 2009? What do you think?
