The Marketing of giving away free

This week saw 2 give away promotion where instead of giving away free products to random consumers, they added some terms. This is indeed a good marketing technique as :-

1. You only give away to the consumer that is interested.
2. The consumer will appreciate the giveaway more and hence they will actually try it.
3. Because of the terms, it gave consumer to a topic to talk about.
4. This is one example of word of mouth marketing techniques where you have a talker (consumer), topic (free stuff) and lastly hype (Advertisements).

Next time when you are giving products away, make sure that you are giving it to the correct consumer. Giving away at random in the public is just poor marketing.
